Recovering from botched plastic surgeries and damaged self-esteem

anus_lips_bowling_boobs.jpg

Jane is recovering from botched plastic surgery. She writes:

My botched surgeries include a bad boob job and very bad lip injections.

I had a lift and augmentation done, and now I have rock hard weird boobies that sit way too high. They look like softballs with skin. My nipples are so huge that I can’t even cover them with 4 fingers. I also had lip injections. My lips are so puffy that my mouth looks like a giant anus.

You can see from the photo above, her lips genuinely have been disfigured and her breasts do look like softballs. What sort of 'plastic surgeon' would do this to a person? I want to thank Jane for courageously coming forward and sharing her story.

Tummy liposuction from hell

Sorry to say I fell prey to a widely advertised ob/gyn surgeon, who talked me into liposuction as a "reward" for my 50th birthday. She argued that I should "treat" myself to a flat tummy.

Looking back on it I can see that I was in the throws of emotional pre-menopausal depression and very vulnerable.

No question about it. I now have a flat tummy. It also looks deformed, lumpy and totally unnatural. There was nothing artful or subtle about what was done to me.

It is three years later and, although the overall appearance has improved from grossly disfigured to just lumpy - there are still "dents" and uneven patches. I suspect that at three years I have seen all the "improvement" I am going to see.

I am in a profession that puts me in competition with every variety of Barbie doll and overly made up "spokesmodels." Even so, I am so thankful that I didn't allow this meatball surgeon to touch my face.

I may be 53 years old - but at least I look like a human being.

By the way, it's worth remembering that liposuction, especially liposuction in the tummy area - can lead to life threatening side affects. I would never, ever, under any circumstances do it again.

In fact, I'm ashamed of it.

Please don't use my real name.

My doctor gave me symmastia

My name is Rhonda and I am a victim of botched plastic surgery. In 2004 I decided I wanted implants, I had saved my money and did my research. I decided to go with a surgeon that was board certified and cheif of plastic surgery for a hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. I told him I wanted to go as big as I could without causing any trouble, and I had heard of Symmastia (Uniboob) and even mentioned that too him because I am thin and told him I would rather him make my incisions beneath the breast in order to get the implants in the right position. This Doctor was so cocky and assured me to leave the doctoring to him and talked me into going through my armpits. Bottom line is I got symmastia he got my money, so I'm just dealing with it until I get enough money again to get them replaced, and repair the muscles he has cut.
